How It Works

It is easy to get started with AURO. Once you setup your free account, you can login to your account and start provisioning resources

Getting Started

AURO delivers an open and elastic cloud computing environment with an easy to use a web interface (GUI) or command line interface (CLI) with full API compatibility including behavioral fidelity with other clouds allowing you to host and deploy highly resilient applications and websites at less than half the cost of using other services with fast provisioning times.

Once you have setup your free account, you have immediate access to the AURO platform and access to the cloud console to get started. Included below are the Getting Started manuals for cloud computing, block storage and object storage. Plus, below are 5 simple steps to get your first server online.

Step 1. Provider Server Identification

Before launching your first virtual machine, you will need to ensure the following items have been completed if required:

  • Generated Access credentials
  • Enable SSH in Security Groups
  • Keypair has been created
  • Networks have been created by your Administrator

Now, create a new compute instance by giving it a name in order to identify it. This also becomes the server's hostname when the server is first deployed and helps simplify the process when deploying additional servers.

Step 2. Select Server Image

Next, you will need to select a pre-configured image, which is a pre-installed operating system (such as CentOS, Debian, Ubuntu or Windows), an appliance, an image that you created or a snapshot of another server that was previously taken. This image will be used to create the base disk of your new cloud server.

Step 3. Choose Server Type

You can choose the exact type of instance type that you require based on your requirements. AURO offers a range of sizes from Micro Instance to 8XL for larger resource needs. All servers are deployed on the enterprise grade infrastructure ensuring high performance and data resiliency.

Step 4. Select Management Tier

AURO includes a comprehensive support package with every account but there are occasions where more support may be needed. Our basic option includes guidance in setting up your cloud infrastructure and help in migrating from your existing environment. Our fully managed tier provides all the above but including architecting, deploying and managing your servers for you.

Step 5. Manage Your Server

Once your server is setup, you can manage it from the cloud dashboard or using our OpenStack® API. You can do everything from spinning up a server, add your public IP address, access remote console, setup storage, view full server metrics, rebuild your server from scratch and power actions.

You can also easily create an image from this server which will take a full copy of the server and store it without shutting your server down. You can use this image to create new servers in the future, which can be helpful in deploying a large number of machines.

You only pay for the resources you actually consume on our cloud computing service which are hours that your cloud server are running and the amount of bandwidth transferred through the network.
